Everyone Deserves a Christmas Photograph
We’re heading back to Dewsbury Cares Community Group’s Christmas Day celebration.
Most of our year is weddings at venues like Grantley Hall and Middleton Lodge, brand launches and awards nights. We love every one of them.
But one of our favourite days of the whole year is Christmas Day in Dewsbury.
For four years, we’ve taken the booth to Dewsbury Cares Community Group’s Christmas Day celebration. And this Christmas, we’re going back.
Last Christmas
Volunteers in red. Christmas dinner on long tables. Crackers, paper hats and Santa doing the rounds with his bell. And the hats. Always the hats.
Christmas looks different for everyone. For some, it’s a house full of family. For others, it’s somewhere warm to go and someone to share the day with. That’s what Dewsbury Cares gives people, and you feel it the minute you walk in. It’s busy, it’s loud, and it’s full of people looking out for each other.
The booth
It’s the same booth and the same props we take to five star weddings. The screen and every print said “Merry Christmas 2025 from Dewsbury Cares Community Group”.
The best bit is always the same. Watching someone pick up a sparkly top hat, have a laugh with a person they’ve only just met, and walk away with a print in their hand.
Volunteers grabbed each other for a photo between serving dinner. Families squeezed in together. It’s the simplest thing we do all year, and it’s the one that stays with us longest.
Why we keep going back
A photograph isn’t really about how we look. It’s about remembering how we felt.
Not everyone gets the big family Christmas or the perfectly planned party. But everyone deserves a moment worth capturing, and something to keep from the day.
That’s why we’ll be back with Dewsbury Cares this Christmas Day, with the booth, the props and the hats.
